An EXCELLENT example of a RARE, Natal Rebellion 1906 , Bambatha Campaign Medal w/ Ribbon. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on obverse. All nomenclature present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Recipient details present and attested to the Royal Natal Regiment.
The 1906 Natal Rebellion Medal was instituted by the Natal Colonial Government, to recognize the services of Colonial Forces in quelling the Zulu Rebellion led by Chief Bambatha.
A total of 9979 Medals were issued to participating Military & Support personnel- 8045 with the '1906' clasp & 1934 without the device. A photocopy of the Regimental Medal Roll listing the recipient is present.
