Obverse:

Within a beaded rim, bareheaded bust of Kruger, front, in presidential attire with sash displaying the coat of arms of the Z.A.R. across right shoulder. Legend: S. J. P. KRUGER

Reverse:

Within a laurel wreath, the coat of arms of the Transvaal Republic on a rectangular shield. Legend: EENDRAGHT MAAKT MAGHT (unity makes strength). Beaded border round the rim.

President Kruger visited Amsterdam on 19th December 1900. It is probable that this medal was made by Mayer & Wilhelm of Stuttgart and sold to the people of Amsterdam as a commemoration of his visit.
