1943 WW2 Italy 1/5/10 Lire note set in plasic sleeve (Allied Military Currency)

1943 WW2 Italy 1,5 and 10 Lire note set (three notes) as per images in a hard plastic sleeve.This is a circulated set and with any circulated set there might be imperfections like: border tears,pinholes,creases,stains,missing corners,writing etc.The notes are sold as is and may have one or more of the imperfections mentioned.The 1 and 5 Lire has no pinholes and no tears but the 10 Lire has 2 pinholes.

Allied Military Currency

Currency that was legal tender in some Allied-occupied areas during World War II. The Allied Military Currency was issued when soldiers could not be paid in the local currency and because paying them in U.S. dollars posed the risk of high inflation due to the fact that the dollar had a high value at the time relative to most European currencies. Military leaders declared Allied Military Currency legal tender and required local retailers and others to accept it as payment
