This magnificent tall antique Flemish "Mechelen Style" Tiger Oak "buffet-a-deux Corpus" cabinet server/ buffet hutch dates to between the early to mid 1800's. This fantastic piece of furniture is heavily carved solid Tiger Oak and has two stained lead-glass doors on the upper half of the buffet and two carved doors on the lower part of the buffet with two cutlery drawers under the serving top. The buffet also features amazing and unusual brass embellishments throughout that really put it in a league of its own. The carving is breathtaking and all encompassing with an array of different designs that seem to span across multiple styles. The cabinet is in good condition for its age (around 180 years old) and has been well looked after. The buffet has some/ normal age and usage related wear and tear. Some of the wooden corner pieces of the buffet are missing but it is not very noticeable at all. This amazing buffet measures a very decent 140cm long x 55cm wide x 230cm high. Please view the pics carefully to fully appreciate this truly spectacular buffet server cabinet and to confirm the condition.
