Adorable Snoopy Clear Glass Coin Bank Vintage 1960s Anchor Hocking USA
AN ADORABLE SNOOPY CLEAR GLASS COIN BANK THAT WAS MADE BY ANCHOR HOCKING FROM 1958 TO 1966. A GREAT COLLECTIBLE FOR THE PEANUTS LOVER IN YOUR LIFE.
Snoopy, of course, is an anthropomorphic Beagle dog from the well known 1950s comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz. This clear glass piggy bank was made by Anchor Hocking in the 1960s in the form of that famous Peanuts dog. Originally it would have had a paper label, so it bears no makers mark.
THERE ISN'T AN OPENING IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BANK, SO IF MONEY IS PLACED INSIDE, IT WILL HAVE TO BE SHAKEN OR BROKEN TO GET THE MONEY OUT. THAT IS ALSO THE REASON WHY THERE ARE NOT A LOT OF THESE VINTAGE GLASS PIGGY BANKS STILL AROUND.
PERFECT FOR A CHILD'S ROOM, BABY SHOWER OR YOUR DESK
IT IS IN EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR NOTICEABLE SCRATCHES AND LITTLE TO NO SIGNS OF AGE-RELATED WEAR.
Famous Snoopy Quotes: Yesterday I was a dog. Today I'm a dog. Tomorrow I'll probably still be a dog. Sigh! There's so little hope for advancement. Peanuts Snoopy My life has no purpose, no direction, no aim, no meaning, and yet I'm Happy. I can't figure it out. What am I doing right? Peanuts Snoopy
SIZE 8CM WIDE 11CM DEEP 15CM HIGH
CONDITION: NO CHIPS. NO CRACKS. VERY GOOD CONDITION.
ANCHOR-HOCKING (1905-2015): Anchor Hocking Company is a manufacturer of glassware that was founded in 1905 by Isaac Collins in Ohio and named after the Hocking River. That company merged with the Anchor Cap and Closure Corporation in 1937. Hence the name Anchor-Hocking. From 1937 to 1983 the company operated the oldest glass manufacturing facility in the United States, established in 1863, in Salem New Jersey. In 1987, the Newell Company acquired Anchor Hocking Corporation. In 2012, then-owner Monomoy merged Anchor Hocking with Oneida and created EveryWare Global. EveryWare Global filed for bankruptcy in 2015.
