For trusted Alpine sound quality and the convenience of built-in Bluetooth Plus wireless technology, the CDE-173BT CD receiver offers just what you need. Play your iPod® or iPhone® via USB (cable sold separately) and control music playback and search functions right from the Head Unit. Alternatively you can also switch to Direct Control Mode and control playback from the iPod® and iPhone® directly. App Direct mode allows you to enjoy the sound of any iPhone app through your car speakers while you charge your phone — very handy for internet radio or navigation apps. Carry hands free phone conversations on your drive, thanks to the power of Bluetooth with many advanced features (BT Plus) built right into the head unit (microphone included). The convenient USB port and 3.5mm auxiliary input on the front of the unit allow you to easily hook up USB mass storage devices or an MP3 player.
