THIS INCREDIBLY RARE AND INSANELY SPECTACULAR ANTIQUE (c1875 TO 1890) "CORNISH COMPANY, WASHINGTON, NEW JERSEY, USA" WOODEN "CHAPEL" REED PUMP ORGAN IS IN AMAZING CONDITION, CONSIDERING ITS AGE (126 TO 141 YEARS OLD). THERE ARE 18 STOP KNOB FUNCTIONS ON THE ORGAN, AND ALTHOUGH TWO OF THEM HAVE COME OFF, A RESTORER IS ABLE TO PUT THEM BACK. THE CARVED DETAILING ON THIS ANTIQUE ORGAN IS QUITE MAGNIFICENT AND MANY HOURS WERE SPENT BY VARIOUS CRAFTSMEN PRODUCING AND ASSEMBLING THIS RARE ORGAN. THE "BLACK" KEYS LOOK TO BE SOLID EBONY WOOD AND THE WHITE KEYS ARE POSSIBLY A BONE OR IVORY OR A COMPOSITE RESIN. THE TWO STANDS ON EITHER SIDE OF THE ORGAN WERE TRADITIONALLY USED AS CANDLE STAND HOLDERS WHEN THE ORGAN WAS USED IN A CHURCH SERVICE AND AS FLOWER HOLDERS FOR A FUNERAL. THE ORGAN IS 1330mm LONG x 575mm WIDE x 1170mm HIGH. WHEN THE FOOT PEDALS ARE DEPRESSED, THE BELLOWS DO PRODUCE A SOUND, SO I WOULD SAY THAT ALTHOUGH IT DEFINITELY NEEDS A SERVICE, IT IS A PARTIALLY FUNCTIONING ORGAN. THE PARTS FOR THESE ORGANS ARE READILY AVAILABLE ON VARIOUS INTERNET SITES. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS AND WE WILL ENDEAVOUR TO ANSWER THEM AS BEST AS WE CAN.
