During the 19th century and early 20th century Maison Gagneau were one of the leading suppliers
of lighting and chandeliers in Europe. They exhibited numerous chandeliers, wall lights, torcheres and lamp bases
at the Exposition Universelles of 1900.
DIMENSIONS: 32cm high (excluding rod added for electrification), 17cm wide at base.
The lamp weighs ± 4 kg solid bromze.
CONDITION: Good. The original gilt is mostly worn but otherwise the bronze is in excellent condition with no dents or other damage.
An antique lamp as classic and collectable as this is not often found on our shores.
