Antique 'Georg Jensen' Danish Silver Sugar Bowl
This fine quality, antique, solid silver sugar bowl was manufactured by the well-known and sought after Danish silversmith 'Georg Jensen', in Copenhagen in the 1920's. It has a lovely, rounded shape with a soft hand-hammered finish, resting on a round attractive pedestal base. This collectable piece is in excellent condition with a nice weight and clearly hallmarked on the base with the oval 'Georg Jensen' stamp, the Danish 'three towers' mark, the design number '34', the assay masters mark 'CFH' for 'Christian F. Heise' (used between 1904 and 1932), and the '925.S' purity stamp. There are also small English import marks on the side for London 1923 and is stamped 'GS' for the importers 'George Stockwell & Co'. It measures 7,5cm in diameter, has a base diameter of 5,5cm, stands 5,2cm high and weighs 101g.
