The bugle is a military type and made of solid copper and brass by John Grey & Sons, London.
It has the original tassels and mouthpiece and is in a playable condition. It does have some dents and also damage at the lip of the bell.
As far as could be determined, this bugle is in the B flat key.
It measures 28.5cm from mouthpiece to bell and the bell has an approximate diameter of 10cm.
The exact age is not known, but estimated to be 1940's or possibly somewhat earlier.
