A frontline account of the 1988 Angolan War.  Clive Holt's account of the 1988 SADF advances against FAPLA and Eastern Bloc forces into Angola and at the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale from a 61 Mech. Battalion conscript's point-of-view; sometimes very different compared to the more formal accounts already published. Includes an unusually personal account of the effects of PTSD on the author's life in civvy street after his service. Illustrated with unpublished photographs, as well as surreal  "Desert or Surrender" Angolan propaganda leaflets which seldom made it back to SA. First edition Zebra Press softcover published in 2005. 194 pages. Excellent condition.
