In 1955 Simon founded the Kenya Wildlife Society, which merged with the Tanganyika Wildlife Society in 1961 and was renamed the East African Wildlife Society . He was the driving force behind the creation of Lake Nakuru National Park , which opened in 1967. He was also responsible for the Kenyan authorities declaring 105,000 hectares of the South West Mau Forest as a nature reserve.
Condition: Good, all pages and binding intact, no loose pages. Author's signature and words on the  front papers, some tanning on front and end papers, pages internally are good. Cover boards are good, slight corner bumps.
