A Boer War Queen's South Africa Medal to Trooper J. Leiper of the Harrismith Volunteer Light Horse. This was a small unit of local recruits, numbering 146 men according to the Anglo-Boer War website.
Named on edge: "60 TPR: J. Leiper. HARRISMITH VOL: L.H."
Confirmed on the QSA medal roll, which shows that he was also entitled to the OFS and SA 1901 clasps.
Note: Under the new Bobshop R30 shipping program, RAM is the preferred courier for my area. Their service is dreadful, sometimes taking a week to collect from me. All purchases over R1,000 I will now ship with The Courier Guy. Your package will be shipped at your risk, without insurance. If you would like to have me take out take insurance against loss, send me a BoB message after the sale. There will be a modest additional charge which you would need to add to your payment.
