An EXCELLENT example of a 1980s Border War, Ratel AFV Ballistic Helmet with Padded Liner. Each piece appears to be in a USED state , with  Liner present  & Webbing Chin strap. The original issue/ manufacturers labels are present on  lining & Helmet shell.  Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface.

Each Helmet will vary in appearance and condition slightly, due to overall exposure to combat/ training conditions. The helmets appear to be in a GRADE II condition level - displaying paints chips & other appropriate signs of usage.

The Ratel AFV Ballistic Helmet was locally produced by Grinel , in order to alleviate supply issues experienced by SA Security Forces during the Conflict. These items consisted of a 3-piece construction: Ballistic Shell, Liner & Netting Snood.
