Green sprouting calabrese broccoli is dark green with a close beaded bluish-green central head that is high in vitamins and low in calories. The large head also furnishes an abundance of side shoots.
Sow from December through to February or March. Sow in seedling trays (see our plastic seedling trays) and transplant when large enough to handle. A sunny sheltered position is preferred. Mix some well rotted manure or compost with your soil. Water regularly in dry weather. First heads should be ready about three months after first sowing. Picking can continue for some weeks as new shoots appear.
5 grams will have an appox. seed count of 1200 to 1500 seeds
