C1800's - Antique Selon Maelzel Metronome with side opening front window - Working!

On offer this fabulous RARE Find! An antique Selon Maelzel Metronome, I have not come across another metronome with this side opening front, as most metronomes have the front window lifting off. It stands 23cm tall. It has the maker's brass plaque on the front with "Metronome Selon Maelzel, Paris, Bruxelles, Hollande, Amerique, Londres", on the inside the marking "Qualite Excelsior" on the lower part of the strip denoting music speed, and the underside has a serial number with what looks like "368, 932". I date the metronome around the late 1880's as this is when the marking "Qualite Excelsior" was used on musical instruments. The polished dark wood casing (I think it is mahogany) is in good condition, apart from a few age related scuff marks. This metronome was loved and well used by it's previous owner, on the inside on the strip denoting music speed, the top area is quite worn with the writing erased there, but lower down the writing is still in place.
