This is a Hand-painted trio made by Cauldon China, England, Est 1774, Reg. No. 691808. This elegant, hand painted pattern was commissioned by a store in Manchester, England called H.G. Stephenson in 1922. The pattern's registration number is NO. 691808. The last 2 digits on the registration number show the date that the pattern was registered. This trio is then dated 1908. More commonly known as 'Stephensons', the company is owned and run by the fifth generation of the family. Henry George Stephenson established Stephensons in 1860 when he rented a stall in Salford flat iron markets before moving into the newly built Barton Arcade. The company moved to Kennerley Works (Stockport) in 1967 after 99 years in Manchester.
