Vintage Commodore 128
Machine is in perfect working order. All of the keys work properly, no sticking. The housing is still bright white as pictured. Starts up and loads games perfectly. Spent a few minutes playing Radar Rat Race, sound and video is excellent (works on flat screens).
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING
I have thoroughly tested this unit by loading and playing games from the datasette and cartridges. The Commodore 128 is intended to switch between 64K and 128K mode (hold down Commodore key upon startup to get into 64K mode). The 64K mode works perfectly and loads games as expected.
Occasionally when switching the unit on the 128K mode appears scrambled. The lemon64.com forums presented the following advice to resolve the issue:
C128 with garbled screen in 128 mode: Check the char rom (if it is a German model then this one often came on an eprom with small pcb, which didn't exactly fit under the metal shielding and therefore gets loose sometimes. Also check the 128 mode ROMs (3 chips for Basic and Kernel). It could also be a ram problem on the upper 64KB, these should be the ones nearer to you if you sit in front of the machine
Please note the cassette games and cartridges are from the 80's and I cannot provide a guarantee that they will work and play as when they were new. By bidding on this item you accept this. There are 30 tapes in total and 2 cartridges.
