TAG Heuer manufactures watches, chronographs and other fashion accessories. The brand TAG Heuer originates from Uhrenmanufaktur Heuer AG established in Switzerland in 1860 by Edouard Heuer. The TAG Group sold TAG Heuer to the French Luxury goods group: LVMH (Louis Vuitton | Moet Hennessy) in 1999. The name TAG Heuer is an abbreviation for Techniques d'Avant Garde with the surname Heuer.

TAG Heuer received the patent for the 'Time of Trip' in 1911. The 'Time of Trip' was the first dashboard chronograph designed for use in aircrafts and automobiles. This chronograph could read the time of day as well as measure the time of your trip. TAG Heuer introduced the 'Autavia', in 1933, a dashboard timer used in aviation and automobiles.

The 'Hervue' was launched parallel to the Autavia and was a clock that could run for eight hours straight without being wound. In the 1960's Heuer partnered up with the brands Breitling and Hamilton to introduce an automatic chronograph.

TAG Heuer has gone on to offer a variety of luxury items. The company offers a line of men's wallets, belts, bags, jackets, bracelets and cuff links. France based Groupe Logo, Moretz manufactures TAG Heuer branded eye wear. ModeLabs Group manufactures mobile phones for the TAG Heuer brand.
