Japan Museum Sieboldhuis
Location: Rapenburg 19, Leiden
Originally four buildings combined in the 16th century, significant renovations occurred in the 18th century. In 1830, Philipp Franz von Siebold returned to Leiden with his collection from Japan's Dejima and displayed it publicly at this location. His "Japansch Museum" attracted notable visitors, including King Willem II and Tsarevich Alexander of Russia. In 2005, it became the Japan Museum Sieboldhuis, serving as the official Japan Centre to highlight Dutch-Japanese relations.
Since 1952, miniature Delft Blue houses have been given to KLM business class passengers, reflecting Amsterdam's gable houses.
