This is a guide to the principles and uses of perspective in drawing and painting. The basic rules and laws of perspective are discussed, and masterpieces from all periods are examined to demonstrate how various artists have used focal points, horizons and vanishing points.

An excellent concise overview of perspective for the artist with previous experience who does not want to get bogged down searching through dozens of pages. A nice description of drawing shadows on flat ground. I would have liked to see the abbreviations placed in the back and a list of references for further reading (e.g., For casting shadows on other objects for example).
