Growing Echinacea, also known as coneflowers, can be a rewarding addition to your garden. Echinacea is a group of flowering plants known for their attractive daisy-like flowers and potential medicinal properties.
Native to North America. Hardy herbaceous perennial with daisy-like flowers. Ht. up to 1.2m, spread 45cm.
Blooms throughout summer. Attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
Most Echinacea varieties are hardy perennials and can survive winter in colder climates. Cut back the spent foliage to about 3 inches above the ground in late fall to tidy up the garden and promote new growth in the following spring.
