First South African Flag 1910 before Orange, White and Blue.

This is an original First South African Storm Flag dating back to 1910. It was in use from 1910 to 1928 when it was replaced by the Orange, White and Blue Flag. This flag is over a hundred years old and is very scarce as a very few copies came on the market.

The size of this flag is 40cm high x 70 cm wide.

It is in a well used condition and a section on the corners / sides is torn away as can be seen in the photo.

Update:

This is the South African Red Ensign flag. It was a Civil Ensign and unofficial national  flag (1910-1951). This may be quite rare
