Vintage Gecado Model 25 Air Rifle for Refurbishment.

Has rust - will need refurbishment by means of either sanding or lathe work. It would thereafter need re-bluing. The front of the barrel has the deepest rust - please see photos. The rust will not be easily removed with oil and steel wool.

The air rifle shoots, yet the pellet has not got good penetration - the O ring seal where the barrel closes would need replacement. The inner bore of the barrel still looks relatively good.

The rear sight has a crack at the screw - yet is not loose.

The stock has some marks from use over time.

I would believe this air rifle to be from the late 1970's. The Gecado name later changed to Diana.

Signed for postage in SA, at buyers own risk, will be R50. (The working part will be separated from the stock for postage as sending the air rifle intact will incur postage cost of over R100 as the parcel would exceed 1m in length.)
