FORD VCM IDS
The Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) is a high performance, ruggedized, vehicle serial communications gateway. This device provides multiple vehicle serial communication interfaces to meet the requirements of all Ford Motor Company vehicles.

The Ford Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) will be the only equipment that provides complete diagnostic coverage of current and future Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles.

The IDS package replaces the Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS). The IDS application will perform the identical functions of the WDS and allows dealership technicians to diagnose and service Ford, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Land Rover & Jaguar vehicles.

Ford VCM Hardware and software requirements:
1.PC or laptop with Windows XP (SP2 or later)
2.Hard disk drive with at least 400MB of free space
3.DVD-ROM drive (if a high-speed Internet connection is not available)
4.USB2.0 required to connect PC to host
5.Monitor capable of displaying in VGA mode or above (1024 x 768 recommended)

Ford VCM IDS Operation Notes:
VCM can only work on Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or later). It does NOT work on VISTA or Windows 7
