The Hoymiles Data Transfer Unit collects performance data from each microinverter via WiFi or GSM and sends the data to the Hoymiles Smart Monitoring Server. The server stores the data online and provides module level smart-monitoring using their full-featured Energy Monitoring and Analysis software.

Customers can login to the server to check the performance of their PV system. Maintenance staff can also use the server, allowing them to assess the system remotely for troubleshooting or to upgrade the firmware of the DTU or microinverters to ensure the continued reliability of the system.

The DTU comes with a 2 year warranty as standard.
