Enslin Vorster paints in the traditional manner revealing the South African landscape in a way that people immediately respond to. His work is a celebration of the beauty and wonder of nature and our close bond to it.

He has a hunger for the external scene  the earth and sky of Africa and travels continuously in search of subject matter that expresses the quintessential feeling of the South African scene.

Enslin Vorster is mentioned in The Dictionary of South African Painters published by Everard Read and his works hang in many private, public and corporate collections locally and abroad. Some of these include Haggie Rand, Protea Industrial Chemicals, Altech Electronic Systems, Transvaal Rugby Football Union, market Research Africa, Bearings International, Standard Bank and the South African Broadcasting Corporation.

Here are some comments made by art critics on reviewing exhibitions by Enslin Vorster.

Vorsters paintings are of a heightened watercolour caliber and virtually all of them should delight those who are unaware of how long and arduous is the technical path which precedes reaching the point of ability which Vorster has now achieved   Richard Cheales, The Citizen, 1st July 1987.

The Transvaler, June 1992: Vorster word as een van Suid-Afrika se voorste landskap skilders beskou.

Vorster Watercolours Awash With Peace  Enslin Vorsters watercolours are the type of art you immediately want to own.  Yvonne Fontyn, Saturday Star, June 12 1993.

This is Vorsters 17th solo show and I dont believe there can be a watercolourist in SA now surpassing him  Michael Coulson, Financial Mail, June 10 1994 and again on 9th June 1995 Watercolour Mastery  It is really difficult to find something new to say about Vorsters annual exhibitions. He is simply a superb watercolourist, who if anything gets better with time. His latest land- and dockscapes are wonderful examples of this most difficult of media. You need look elsewhere for social comment or relevance but for evocative depictions of nature Vorster is unsurpassed.

Clarens MAG 2010: "What a wonderful experience talking to Enslin at his Studio Gallery in Clarens. Inspirational."
