Set of 12 lovely 24K gold plated teaspoons with enamel flower designs in a wooden stand.
These lovely teaspoons were manufactured in Japan, and are 24K gold plated.

They have enamel designs of flowers. INTERESTINGLY THEY ARE ALL SOUTH AFRICAN FLOWERS WITH SOME HAVING AFRIKAANS NAMES. ALL THE FLOWER NAMES ARE ENGRAVED ON THE SPOONS.

IXIA DUBIA - Ixia dubia is an Ixia species (corn lily) found growing in granite slopes from Piketberg to Caldon, South Africa.

BAUKUM - Anysboegoe is found from Hermanus to Humansdorp where it grows on limestone flats and hills or coastal calcareous sands. Also called coast anise buchu (Eng.); anysboegoe, strandboegoe, klamboegoe (Afr.)

LEPELTJIES - Siersteen (Lepeltjies blom) This species is characterized by a very thin stem with virtually no leaves.

MORAEA TORTILIS - It is better known as Spiral Grass, is a bulbous plant with very unusual and ornamental foliage with twisting and curly leaves that resemble a corkscrew. Native to limited regions of Namibia and South Africa. 

BLUE WATER LILY - Previously known as Nymphaea Capensis, the splendid blue water lily is one of just two species in the family Nymphaeaceae that occur naturally in Southern Africa.

KALKOENTJIE - Little turkey (Eng) is a very brightly coloured plant and will catch your eye wherever you walk, with its showy orange, yellow and green flowers. It populates the sandy flats of the Western Cape.

SMALL BROWN AFRIKANER - Gladiolus Maculatus or The Brown Afrikaner. The Brown Afrikaner flowers likes the mainly clay slopes in renosterveld.

FLAME LILY - The flame lily is widespread in tropical and southern Africa, thriving on the sparse savannah woodlands, sand dunes and grassland in sandy loam soil. It is the national flower of Zimbabwe.

FRINGED PROTEA - The narrow-leaf protea is a very widespread species which grows on the southern coastal mountain ranges from just east of Cape Town and all the way to Port Elizabeth Proteas are considered one of the oldest flower families and originated about three hundred million years ago.  There are more than 1500 species of which more than 330species can be seen in South Africa. 

BALLON PEA - The cancer bush or balloon pea (Sutherlandia frutescens) is a much-respected and long-used medicinal plant.

GRANNY BONNET - Aquilegias are charming, old-fashioned cottage garden plants with bonnet-shaped flowers, often two-tone and with long graceful spurs. Sometimes known as columbines or granny's bonnets, they come in a very wide range of colours, from white to pale pink and from dark purple to red.

ORANGE CHINK - Chink flower in Spring from mid September to December. They come in White, Yellow and Orange. These particular varieties have been developed locally to insure a lovely big thick head size and incredibly long vase life.

All of these come in a solid wood framed teaspoon stand.
