On auction is this SAR “Blue Train” powered loco in good operating condition. Slight corrosion on metal parts that was removed and treated. Paintwork/decals are in good condition. The unit was lubricated tested and operates well in both directions. It measures 206 mm and is fitted with Lima couplings and metal wheel sets. Original box in fair condition. Please take note of the following; all of the body clips has been repaired and I have strengthen it with brass plate brackets to prevent it from brakeing again. The cover of the front bogey I had to replace as well, because the previous owner lost it? Please see yellow circles for repairs. The RH rear corner of the loco I had to repair as well. Mechanically this unit is sound and a very good buy if you have a replacement body. The horns are not original. This model still looks impressive on the track despite all the repairs.
