Matchbox Lesney 62F Chevrolet Corvette
The third generation Corvette, patterned after the Mako Shark II concept car, was introduced for the 1968 model year and lasted until 1982. C3 coupes featured the first use of T-top removable roof panels and were sold in record numbers despite changes due to EPA regulations and the fuel crisis of the 1970s. This appears to be the 1974 model with the 5mph bumpers.
Matchbox released their version in 1979 and for 1979-1981 it was a deep metallic red with white tampo prints on the bonnet and sometimes on the sides too, these have grey, black or white seats. From 1982 to 1983 it was recoloured black with yellow tampos. For 1983 it was white with black stripes and racing number 09. There was a racing set version 'Streak Racing Set' in 1983which was black with opaque windows.
The racing set black version with opaque windows gets the best price, of the rest look for the white car or the metallic red car with white seats.
