**KING GRAYSKULL**

- King Grayskull was the planetary monarch of Eternia and the ancestor of Prince Adam and Princess Adora. He ruled with wisdom and compassion alongside his wife, Veena.

- King Grayskull waged battle against threats to Eternia, including the Snake Men and The Horde, commanded by the tyrannical Hordak. He rode a powerful steed named Battle Lion.

**Character History**

- During a climactic battle outside of Castle Grayskull, Hordak attempted to open a portal to Despondos to destroy King Grayskull. Summoning all his strength, King Grayskull turned the portal on Hordak and his army, casting them into Despondos and sacrificing his life to save Eternia.

- Upon his death, King Grayskull transferred his mystical energies into his Power Sword, forming the basis for He-Man's power and the transformation cry "By the power of Grayskull!"

- Veena became the first Sorceress, and his advisers became the Council of Elders, dedicated to protecting the sword and Grayskull's legacy.
