Start in a comfortable lying position: some women believe that lying on their stomach or kneeling on all fours can help them with Kegel's exercises in the beginning. Alternatively lie on your side or back. Keep the normal curve inward in the lower back during exercises. Squeeze and lift inwards and around the pelvic openings. Continue to lift and squeeze as long as possible, up to 10 seconds. Relax the muscles of the pelvic floor by bringing them back to the level of rest. Rest until you feel healed and repeat your Kegels up to 8-12 times in a row. (For beginners this can be a minimum of 1-2 Kegel exercises in a row).Repeat the exercises 3 times a day. Increase the number of consecutive Kegel exercises you perform as your strength improves. Regular daily Kegel exercises are recommended.
