Monkey Orange fruit seed

Strychnos Cocculoides also known as kurkbasklapper or corky-bark monkey-orange is known as the best tasting cultivar of the monkey orange trees. Some describe it as a bubblegum taste, although I personally find it more like ripe mango with fresh cream. Seeds are covered with this delicious flesh and the skin of the fruit with a more dense creamy flesh. 

Before modern medicine the monkey orange was used to treat maleria, snake bites, hypertension and sexually transmited diseases. 

They grow in sandy, rocky woodlands.
