"Moqui stones, also known as Moqui marbles or shaman stones, are naturally occurring spherical to disk-shaped stones found primarily in the Navajo Sandstone formations of Utah, USA. They consist of a sandstone core surrounded by a hard outer shell of iron oxide (hematite or goethite). Moqui stones are named after the Moqui people (an ancient term for the Hopi), who were believed to have used them for spiritual purposes."
