This is one amazing robot in very good condition and all functions seem to work, but it has a problem:
It powers up without a hassle, goes through its moves and responds to commands for a while and then powers down, stating that it needs a recharge, even if fresh batteries are installed. Sometimes it operates for a few minutes, other times it powers down almost as soon as it has booted. We do not know what is causing this and there is no specialist shop nearby that is able to fix it. All of the joints work, it speaks, LCD a, sensors are fine and we can see no other issues apart from the shutting down issue. So we are selling it as is.
When they were released, the RS Media cost over $700, and have since become highly collectable. At this price it is even worth buying as a display piece! This could also be a great project for an electronically-inclined person, electronic engineering student etc.
So please bear in mind that it has a fault and will have to be looked at and fixed before it can be used to its full potential. We are selling the robot as is.
I have downloaded the manual and RS Media suite used for programming it and will include it on cd. No batteries or accessories included, robot, remote and cd only.
