Climbing Nasturtium will need trellising. Use this nasturium to quickly cover a wall or any area in the garden that needs quick colour. An easy to grow annual, as a bonus, the flowers and leaves are edible, delicious in salads, omelets or on a sandwich.
Plant in situ in early spring and throughout summer. Should you live in a frost area, plant after the last frost is finished, or start early indoors. They can be transplanted. Sow 1 cm deep, the temperature must be about 20 to 25 degrees C for best germination. Do not let germinating seeds dry out, and carefully look after the seedlings. Once the plants are established, they thrive in poorer soils and need watering occasionaly. If there is no rain for about a week, they will need watering or in the middle of the hot summers a bit more often. Do not over feed, as the plants will produce lush foliage at the expense of the flowers.
