The NEW Geyser-Conversion-Upgrade-Kit was designed to convert your existing geyser into a 12V or 24V and still keep your current 220V supply(for cloudy days).
This is how it all works:
When the sun is shining you collect solar energy direct from the sun by means of a solar panel (photovoltaic panel). By transferring the energy directly to your geyser, (12V or 24V) allowing it to heat the water inside your geyser.
Option 1: Switch your geyser off and let the sun heat your water.
Option 2: Leave your geyser on and when the sun is not shinning, your thermostat will switch your 220 volt element on. Never without hot water, but saving on your electric bill.
The Geyser-Conversion-Upgrade-Kit is available in 12V/24V at 500W or 750W or 1000W, depending on the watts of your solar arrays. If you plan to upgrade your solar power in the future rather decide to buy the SUPER-Geyser-Conversion-Upgrade-Kit and add up to a 1000W of solar energy to your existing geyser.
To extend the life of your geyser it is recommended to have it serviced, specifically checking the anode. When the anode is depleted the bad elements will then start attacking the geyser housing and connecting parts and this is what causes cracks in a geyser or the more commonly known term of a “burst geyser”.
Included in the Geyser-Conversion-Upgrade-Kit is a new Anode Rod.
