A useful informative and good reference collection of books for any one interested in nursing and general health care.
All books have been used, I have given a general idea of the books condition, there might be a few points that I might have missed but the details below will give you a general idea of each ones condition.
All covers are scuffed - pre owned and used.
1) Bailliere's Nurses' Dictionary 7th edition by Barbara F. Cape, hardcover, pocket book with 544 pages incl. the appendix.
Name of owner stamped on front page & initials on fore edge, some scuffing to cover. Well bound, neat and in very good usable condition.
2) Bailliere's Pocket Book of Ward Information 10th edition revised by Marjorie Goughton (M.B.E. etc) 1961 printed in Great Britain. Hardcover with dust jacket, condition acceptable. Edges of book have been written across with owners name, page binding is still strong but the cloth binding is visible at the back and front of the book when opened at the fly markers both side of the book, pages lightly foxed, some staining to cover and page edges but not to the books text.
3) Antenatal and Postnatal Care by Francis.J.Browne - Churchill Books, Great Britain, 1951, 7th edition. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Condition: Good - Mottling and light foxing, dust marks on fore pages, binding intact - both sides of inner cover and back and pages nearest to cover have a moisture stain - see image below. Page 451/452 has a small heart shaped whole, some text underlined in book.
4) Tothey Medicine for Nurses edited by Arnold Bloom 6th edition, E & S Livinstone Edinburgh London. 1964 hardcover with dust jacket. Good pre-owned condition, binding still strong. some mottling to pages, page edge marked with owners name as well as name on inside of cover.
5) Surgery for Nurses by James Moroney 9th edition E. & S. Livingstone. Ltd Edinburgh London 1964 hardcover with dust jacket. Good pre-owned condition, binding still strong but the fly page to book does show a split - see image. Page edge marked with owners name as well as name on inside of cover.
6) Manual of Advanced Nursing, by Marie E Vlok. First edition, Johannesburg 1973. Hardcover, cloth.
Book is in good pre-owned condition, a nice clean and firmly bound copy.
Some scuffing and some fading of cover, name written on inside of front cover, back inside cover and back fly marker has a water stain - see image below.
