Pienaar of Alamein: the Life Story of a Great South African Soldier

Published by Cape Times, 1943, hardcover, 137 pages, some edgeware to dustjacket otherwise condition: very good.

General Pienaar with his 1 South African Division successfully took part in major battles during the North African Campaign, and was twice awarded the DSO. Sadly he was killed on the 19th December 1942 when his aircraft crashed into Lake Victoria at Kisumu while returning to South Africa.
