Description, features and benefits:
* The 'Wearlink' flexible chest transmitter strap is made of fabric and hugs your chest - much more comfortable than the older rigid plastic types
* The chest transmitter uses coded radio transmissions - no chance of interference from other peoples' heart-rate transmitters
* The S1 inertial stride sensor is light and uses a single 'AAA' size battery which lasts 20-30 running hours - you don't even know it's there
* The S1 stride sensor does not use GPS - it works indoors or outdoors and is very accurate
* The altitude sensor uses air pressure and is very accurate (not like GPS) - you can see an exact altitude profile of your run
* The display has large digits and is easy to read

My comments
* This is a great watch for the novice or enthusiast runner - loads of features but not too complicated
* I have found the stride (pace/speed) and altitiude sensors to be extremely accurate - distance is rarely more than 100m out over a 10km run
Condition
* Unit is just over 4 years old and has been used intermittently
* I ran a total of about 2500km with this watch - the strap and casing have clearly done some duty but are both still in good condition
* The whole inner electronic module of the watch was recently replaced by the Polar agents (IHF) - it's basically a brand new watch inside
* Because of the new inner module, the watch carries a 3-month warranty from Polar (invoice will be supplied)
* Sale includes Polar software (Polar Precision Performance) and updates
* All the original manuals and packaging are included
* Reason for selling : I upgraded to the RS800cx
