Prolong Gearbox & Differential Treatment is a scientifically blended formula designed to be mixed with gear oils. It contains the essential chemistry from Prolong's patented Anti Friction Metal Treatment (AFMT). AFMT provides extreme pressure protection. Under situations of high load and extreme pressures, the Prolong formula interacts with the metal surface through a molecular and chemical process to form a coating of bonded lubricant which has a much lower co-efficient of friction than the metal itself. As a result, friction, temperature and wear are reduced in truck, automotive, industrial and agricultural gear lubricant applications.
