Rare '1906 Native Rebellion' Tobacco Pipe (F.J. DOWSE D.L.I.)
This scarce, historical, South African, hand carved, wooden tobacco pipe from the early 1900's, belonged to a 'Sergt. F.J. Dowse' who served in the 'Durban Light Infantry' during the Natal 1906 Bambatha Rebellion. The front is carved with the words 'NATIVE REBELLION' in a cog shaped circle with '1906' in the middle and 'F.J. DOWSE' & 'D.L.I.' underneath. The pipe is in great condition and measures 12cm x 2,7cm.
