Here we have a wonderful antique brass and copper candle box. This would date to somewhere around 1880 and is likely Dutch in origin. It is very unusual and grand showing raised copper roundels, detailed lion mask motifs and regal crown. There is also a beautiful gothic style swirl themed decoration throughout the piece. A lovely piece for a country house decor style, to store your candles or by the fireside for matches or spills.
