An EXCELLENT example of a RARE, Post-War Japanese Oplenflex Rektor No.8636 , Twin-lens Camera with Case. This piece appears to be in a well-preserved state, with lenses remaining complete. The Oplenflex TLR Camera features two-objective lenses of the same focal length. One lens is the Photographic objective or 'taking lens' - while the secondary lens is used for the viewfinder system (observed from above). Oplenflex Brand Cameras are noted for their rarity, in the Collectable Japanese Twin-lens Camera fraternity - having been a direct copy of the German , Rolleiflex 6x6 TLR Camera.
The Viewfinder, on this piece consists of a 45-degree internal mirror, a matte focusing screen at the top of the camera ; and a pop-up magnifying glass. All manufacturers marks and associated branding are evident. An adjustable feature for lens focusing is present.
