Russian 6B13 Armour Carrier Vest

This is the Russian 6B13 Armour Carrier vest in Flora Pattern. Technically it is 2nd hand, but shows no signs of any use.

Used by elite ground troops circa 2008 to present, and currently seeing more widespread usage amongst regular troops, being phased out in favour of more modern MOLLE systems in elite units. The 6B13 was also used by Airborne VDV troops, most notably it saw extensive use during the conflict in South Ossetia in 2008 by the VDV. 

The armour vest is meant to be worn under the soldier's assault vest, and forms part of a complete system. 

The vest takes very unique Russian armour plates which are not available outside of the Russian Federation. Instead, this vest has been fitted with foam inserts to resemble plates an make it suitable for display purposes. 

This is an extremely rare item in South Africa and would make a unique addition to any collection. Buying one from Russia will probably cost you double the asking price here!
