Savanna cider is produced from crushed apples that are grown in the fertile Elgin Valley of the Western Cape, resulting in this clear, dry, and refreshing cider. Savanna Dry is the first cider produced by Savanna and contains a 6% alcohol level.
Understand the difference between a sour and a sweet cider
As nearly all the sugar is fermented out during the process, the majority of ciders are dry and lacking sweetness. Some however are sweetened for the taste, producing what is referred to as medium or sweet ciders. The level of sweetness indicates the amount of sugar or sweetener present.
