Red Veined Sorrel, or Sorrel Bloody

This is a beautiful herb, that can be eaten as a vegetable. It is low growing, about 30 cm tall. Plant in your flower bed, containers, on the edge of your vegatable patch.

Harvest young, to add to salads and sandwiches. When the plant matures, the leaves can be cooked like spinach, used in stir-fries. It has a lemony flavour and pairs well with fish, potatoes, eggs and many other dishes.

This plant can withstand our cold winters. If well established, and happy sorrel can be harvested for many years
