SPINACH MATADOR

This is a fantastic heirloom variety.  It has been a gardener's favourite many years.  It produces generous harvests of deep green crinkled leaves, with a delicous savoury flavour.  Grow the plants in light shade to keep leaves from wilting.  Sow in shallow drills and thin seeds out to 25 cm apart.  The thinnings should be taken the kitchen as baby salad leaves.  Keep well watered, and keep weeded.  Cut leaves as you need them, from the outside.  Leaving the cental crown to grow on and keep producing leaves for the a longer harvest
