TERNI Italian Model 1891 Carcano Rifle Bayonet and Scabbard.
The 1891 Model Carcano Bayonet was the standard Italian Bayonet used in both World Wars.This particular bayonet is marked and manufactured by TERNI. It comes complete with it's leather and brass scabbard. I have no idea of the exact age of this bayonet.
CONDITION: The bayonet would be in Excellent condition were it not for the dings on the Cross Guard and the back edge of the blade. It looks like the bayonet was used as a hammer at some point and has a number of small dings down the Back/Blunt side of the blade. The Leading/Sharp Edge has a few small nicks towards the middle of the blade, small enough to be sharpened out, see picture. Besides all this the wooden grips are in great shape as well as the press stud. Please study the pictures for a accurate description. I have taken pictures from several angles to try and give a fair and accurate representation of exactly what is on offer.
