Issued as Vol. XXXVI in Arrowsmith's 3/6 Series. Copies also exist in brown cloth. The American edition, also issued in 1900, came out under the title: THREE MEN ON WHEELS.
The word 'Bummel' is a German word, meaning a sort of round trip. The novel features the protagonists of Jerome's earlier work THREE MEN IN A BOAT (1889), this time on a cycling tour of the German Black Forest.
